“I show you my friends and you tell me who I am”
Dutch photographer Katy Strange studied photography in Maastricht. Her work is shown in several exhibitions and publications in the Netherlands and Germany and recently been added to the large photography collection of Sir Elton John. For 789 days Katy photographed herself and all the people who slept in her bed during that time, varying from friends to lovers. This resulted in a series of intimate and honest portraits that are a representation of her life and experiences as an art student. Struggles with lovers, making new friends but also loneliness and hard times are typical for the live of young women in their early twenties. Katy photographed these moments with dedication and humor to honor all the wonderful people who came in to her life.
