Ankit Goyal (1986, India)

Untitled
From: Until the end of the night (2010 – 2014)

‘I want to feel close, so close that there is no you & I’
After a receiving a BA in Sociology Ankit studied photography in Ooty, India. His work has been exhibited in India and Germany. Seeing himself as a citizen of the world, he lives a vagrant life and his photographs are deeply personal. They are hard to define, since they come from an inner space, but contain recurring motifs as fear, sex and death. They are dark, mysterious and evoke feelings of unease. There is no narrative; the viewer has to create his or her own story from life experiences and memories. This makes these images even more cryptic and unattainable.
