Bio

Rachel Mounsey is an Australian photographer living in Victoria’s most isolated town, Mallacoota. Her work crosses boundaries between press, documentary and fine art. It focuses on the everyday lives of people and socio-political issues of small-town Australia.

Over the past two years, Rachel worked as a staff journalist and photographer for Fairfax Regional and Australian Community Media on the New South Wales- Far South Coast papers. She has recently moved to freelance work. Her work continues to be published in Australian national media outlets, including The Age and The Guardian.
