Series of Conversations

Laura Hospes (1994) is reclaiming her skin and body by obsessively using it as her subject of research. Her work is rooted in the field of psychology, as of past experiences the connection between her skin, body and self is often lost, which causes a state of detachment. In an attempt to cross this psychical space that arises in state of detachment, she challenges her skin and records these “conversations” through photography, sculpture, video, performance and text.
