‘Humans and Landscapes’
In this series Julian Pache deals with places that were built especially for the purpose of photography, namely viewpoints, generally in parcs all over the world, but specifically in American national parks.
Pache photographs the people getting out of their cars and running to the viewpoints to shoot the according photo of a magnificent natural scenery. Julian Pache’s pictures are very carefully composed large prints that convey the fascination for these wild landscapes. But the people with their mobile phones immediately tear away the viewer from nature’s contemplation. Nature is not an experienced space, but solely a photographed one.
