Winner IPFL 2020 to be announced online

Save the date: on Thursday, May 14 the winner of the International Photo Festival Leiden 2020 will be announced online. The festival would originally take place from May 9 – 17 in the centre of Leiden, The Netherlands. Due to the Covid-19 virus, the event has been postponed to next year. However, we will not make the photographers wait for the announcement any longer.

The winner of the fifth edition of IPFL will be announced through a video. Make sure to keep an eye on our website and social media to watch it. The winner of IPFL 2020 will receive a price of €1.500.

In 2018 Saskia Aukema was the winner of the fourth edition of IPFL with her photo series ‘Veiled’. In this series, she revealed the women behind niqaabs. Read this interview to find out how she experienced her participation in IPFL 2018.
