ProFotonet

ProFotonet is one of the main sponsors of the International Photo Festival Leiden 2020. Marketing professional Irene Smaal answers six questions about the online print service and their collaboration with the festival.

How would you describe Profotonet in brief?

Profotonet is the best address for all your photo prints, photo albums and wall decorations. We only deliver the highest quality and offer the best service.

How does Profotonet distinguish itself from other (online) print services?

Profotonet distinguishes itself primarily in terms of quality. By using the best photo paper on the market, we guarantee the highest quality prints. That means the highest color range, an incredibly deep darkness value, and no rasters in your photo.

When it comes to photo albums, we of course also use the best photo paper. In addition, all our albums have a lay-flat binding by standard, there are no logos/barcodes on the cover, and you can, for example, apply embossed printing or laser text on the front cover of your album.

Why does Profotonet support the International Photo Festival Leiden?

Profotonet supports the IPFL because we like to be engaged with and contribute to various photo activities and events. That way, we also want to encourage people to do something with their photos. A printed photo is much nicer than a photo on your computer screen, after all.

In what ways is this done?

We have printed the photos for the jury selection and will also partly take care of the photos for the indoor exhibitions. These are photos printed on real photo paper, which we then glued on dibond panels. This gives you a high quality print on the super sturdy material dibond, creating a beautiful and chic ensemble.

On which other photo exhibitions and events can we find Profotonet?

Profotonet is present annually at the Photo Days in Brussels, the Professional Imaging in Nijkerk and the Photo Fair in Eersel. We are also a sponsor of the Zilveren Camera, something we are extremely proud of!

Do you have tips for beginning photographers who want to print their photos for the first time?

Yes, make certain your monitor is properly calibrated before printing. This ensures that your print matches what you see on your screen and prevents disappointment. You can read an interesting blog about this on our website (in Dutch):
