Photobus comes to Leiden

Photobus will be present at International Photo Festival Leiden. October 11, it will be present at the Pieterskerkplein, and October 12 at the Stadhuisplein. The exhibition shows analog photos from various disciplines such as illustrative, documentary and fine art.

PhotobusPhotobus is initiated by Brechje Tromp and Winny Pepping. It is an accessible platform seeking attention for young talent and their work. Photobus is a real autobus functioning as a mobile gallery, combined with an online gallery. In the bus as well as in the online gallery, works of young talented photographers are on show and for sale. Also books, magazines, posters and cards are sold.

After this exhibition in Leiden, the mobile gallery will tour to European photo, musical and art festivals.

The mobile gallery tours along European photo festivals, music festivals and art fairs, such as UNSEEN, Fotofestival Naarden, Into the Great Wide Open and Kopenhagen Fotofestival to show the work Brechje, Winny and other young photographers. In the future, Brechje and Winny hope to add a regular exhibition spot to the concept. Apart from that, they are working on a couching class for young talented photographers after their graduation.

Brechje and Winny met at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam. After their graduation in January 2013, they noticed it is not that easy finding your way in the world of photography. Not only is it difficult to get a foot in the door, but also because they are a bit obstinate.
